TP Srinivasan Article
by Prabhat Sharma on Jun 04, 2007 05:39 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

The article written by an Indian with USA perspective and not Indian perspective. Nation should not compromise on its national security. India has a excellant record of non proliferation and unilaterally taken an obligation of no further testing, unless required by supreme national Interest. Considering the neighbourhood of India, this should be good enough for any country with good intention to India. I am sure they will come around as they need to sell the nuclear technology and they see India as a big market for it. All we need to do is not to blink.

I completely agree with the idea that it's equally, if not more, in America's interest to sign the deal beacause of the economics. America is a materialistic world and will not be able to ignore their own buisness lobby who are eagerly waiting for revival of nuclear industry. We only need to hold on to our values and committments for some time and not show undue hurry though in that process we may suffer a little.
