The problem for India is, due to the abysmal leadership of Nehrus, India missed the bus in 1950s and 60s on weaponising. We still need to test H Bombs and fine tune our delivery systems.
The outsourcing jobs will not go away as feared. Our linkages with US entities are deep. The US will face tremendous pain if their Banks close/customer support get compromised.
If necessary let us test B Bombs. Let us not be constrained too much by Pakistan factor. The civil society there does not hate us. We have to remain engaged with Pakistan.
If our testing considerations is getting compromised, let us not sign the agreement now. To handle Chinese Hagemony and Islamism, US will need India; if not now, surely 10 years later. Chinese Hagemony and Islamism will remain ever present dangers for the free world. For all our weaknesses, we are the only nation in the entire Asia between Japan and Europe that has a commitment to a free society.

Shivkumar, That is a nice point of view and i believe that besides what you cited there is one more aspect where our "freaking politicians" should concentrate and that is the lobbying powers in USA, even after spending that much money we are nearly zero in lobbying and hence still begging to increase the H1 cap from 65k to 110k. All that matters in this world is power, economic, political, demographical and of course diplomatic powers.
