Should a political person be the president?

The questions sound preposterous. Who is to decide popular will? How did you get the idea that people want a non-politician to the post? is the chatteratti appearing on English channel make the public will? And, please give me a reson why a politician be banned from becoming the President.

Politicians should not be banned. In fact Mr Pranab Mukherji should be made the next President. His main qualification is that he is in the goods books of Mdm Sonia Gandhi.
