YES Certainly. Being a political animal, politician will protect the interests of the unscrupulous, power hungry, greedy, corrupt, casteist and untrustworthy MPS, MLAs, CMs,PMs, Ministers both at centre and states and extra-constitutional authorities like Sonia and Rahul. All these anti social elements feel protected when there is a politician as President, because he himslef is worthy of all the characteristcs mentioned above. He cannot be sane, impartial, statesmanlike and next day neighbour like Dr.Kalam. If these fellows have any guts let them conduct a direct election and I am sure Dr.Kalam would win hands down. We Indian Like Kalam, but these anti social eloements do not want him because he is most honest INDIAN today. Particularly Communists who are antinational since they toe the line of China in every matter do not like him because their nefarious activities would attract severe condemnation from a President like Kalam.
