A Fundamental Change is needed...
by Gopi on Jun 04, 2007 07:09 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Bhramins preserved our vedic culture during the Taliban style Mughal Rule for 500 Years. In the process of preservence they have become narrow minded. Now it is high time they must come out of the protective shell to stop religious conversions. All Hindus are equal there should not be any difference. We must clean our backyard before blaming other religions on Conversion.

I personally saw a Dalit being Humiliated by the Bhramin Preist in a temple in Tirupati (not in Tirumala). I was so much pissed that I could not prevent something bad happening in front of me.

Personally I was humilated by Bhramins during my childhood, but I cannot blame the whole Bhramin community for that. There are some ignorant culprits who tarnish Hindusim by there mean acts. They should not be called as Bhramin. No Body can claim as a Bhramin by Birth, it is only by noble actions a person can be called Bhramin. Wearing a Thread over the body and chanting Gayartri few times does not make somebody Bhramin. Remember Lord Krishna was born in Yadava Kula and Lord Rama was born as a Shatriya.

The whole caste system must be abolished in India.

Good post. But V Ravi's case is wholly different. Millions of Ezhavas and non-brahmins visit Guruvayr every year. There are no issues.

Along with Ravi, somebody from his family (other than his Sons and grandson) visited Guruvayur who are Xtian.

That's why it was done.

You will be taken over by the marxists or any ideological cult/religion, including christians/muslims if you talk on ideal. Some Brahmins whom you hate, still defending the best elements of hinduism. They are doing it lonely, sometimes out of habbit , out of caste. 5 Paise ideology of universalism is so cheap, you may be losing important stuff.

The Brahmins knew Sri Rama was born as a Khsyatriya.
