Politicians should start behaving
by Prof R K Gupta-India on Jun 03, 2007 11:33 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

In 60 years since independence the cheap type of politicians have taken over filtering into every party.Bonelss, luxury and sleaze seeking and corrupt, and in many cases even criminals ,these guys think that they are masters of people and can fool them.Imposing such laws like NSA,TADA,POTA etc are superfluous as there is adequate provision in normal laws of India Cr.PC and IPC.We all should condemn this behaviour of administrators to quell by brutal force and by suspending constitutional rights of people, small agitations. It shows there incompetence.
These were created in first place by government themselves. In fact it is time to publicly prosecute Vasundhara and her party members for giving false assurances to people to get votes and mass cheat them in elections.
Rampant corruption, extracting money from businessmen and theft of public money in purchases and contracts, eating more than half of welfare aid, these politicians and corrupt bureaucrats are real cause of trouble and need to be put behind bars for sedation, mass public fraudm breach of trust and cheating. They hide behind security.
These guys think they have repleaced white skinned british and have become Brown masters.Shamelessly they misuse public machinery, assets and are bleeding the nation. They have finished national character and have divided people for centuries to come in caste and community lines.
It is time politicians and their tail wagging babus start behaving or get ready for serious consequences.

It is fashionable today to blame the polititians for everything that goes wrong. But before you do that ask yourself what you have done for your country.

Nice one Mr. Gupta. Politicians should accept the responsibilities and should be made accountable. You ended your write-up by saying that politicians should get ready for serious consequences.... Is violance a way or an alternative? Not at all. For controlling violance, there should be harder stick to be taken on hand. Dont you agree? Further, dont you think that there should be an uniform Civil Code for all citizens of India? Its 60 years since independence now. High time for bringing merits in and caste based approach out. All that we need to do is work towards that. It is not very easy to implement - I hope you agree. There should be a sort of Emergency Rule implemented for this purpose. Or alternatively, plans should be drafted stating that 20 years since now, the Uniform Civil Code will be introduced. As you rightly put it, no politicial party will dare to annount such statement(s). The only way is a good leader with a good vision should come and implement these things under Emergency Rule - at least for 5 years.

Prof R.K.Gupta,
If we have these provisions in normal laws of india Cr PC why it was not implemented for several years.First you should talk like a common man not like the agent of the other poltical parties.Because of these agititation have you ever thought hoe the common public are suffered.Next time onwards if any poltical parties make any promise during election people should ask them the assurance the time frame in which they are going to implement othere wise a law should be brought that people should have the right to recall the elected representative and send a new person. If such type of laws are brought into force then only the polticans in the country will work truly for the public who are voted for them, Being a prof you shold try to educate the people to get their basic rights in a peaceful way not by indluging in voilance.Prof do this first and dont raise other non sense issues.

Prof Gupta, your message is really great. But I doubt you can make any difference to our hopeless motherland where every system seems to be too chaotic and the politicians are enjoying this and will continue to!
