India must understand that China will not resolve the border problem until it views us as a ally rather than a adversary.It is for that reason it is backing Pakistan so that India is embroiled in problems with it.As and when it suits the Chinese they will in a instant resolve the border issue just like they did with the USSR.India must also diplomatically keep the Chinese on tenderhooks with its foriegn policy rather than toeing in line with them
