The main reason for India backwardness is its social structure. It has been artificially created and division in the society made to serve vested interest of some privileged so called upper caste. In the past the rulind class (rajput/kshatrya) along with brahamans divided the society for their benefit to enjoy all resurces for their benefits. They did that with the help of sword and religious exploitation. Now in the present day there are parties like BJP and organisation like RSS to maintain that existing division in society for their benefit. Moreover there is a media which is totally in the hands of upper caste(any newspaper u may take times of india,indian express,hindustan times etc) to serve their vested interest. So untilunell this division of society is not destroyed conflicts will always remain in the society and country will not progress

ravi, your point is well taken abt politics using caste and religon to divide us. there are two point to be noted in this, 1) how big fools are we to listen to illiterate jokers and road side rowdies to accept their statemants and act accordingly. 2) y r u singling out only BJP and RSS, the british left us long ago with their succesful 'divide and rule' policy. but our so called politician jokers are using it in ways even the british could nt have imagined. 'kudos to their imagination' we have policies like mandal and caste reservation, ruling out people with brains in the bureucracy.

Let us have a objective analysis. For all certain said Narendra Modi is OBC so any one who wants to get political mileage will use any cheap means to attain power It might be a crooked muslim or crooked hindu. Let us not divide people in religion or by caste
