Its hight time that the media in India especially the news channels have a relook at the kind of news that are being dished out to the viewers. In their mad endeavour to increase TRPs they are sensationalising trivial issues. Even in the present case, Haneef has got cult status. He is in the limelight of every channel. Is it justified? Has he won a war for us or has he come back with an Olympic gold. There were 8 persons killed in police firing in Andhra. Where is that news? Were the lives less important? It seems that the news channels are targetted towards a particular section pf the population, the upper middle class who have the buying power and ultimately these eyeballs are sought out by the sponsors? This is a very disturbing and alarming tend in capitalist India? Its time that we ponder over this issue

Perfect said.. Every year hell lots of Indians in Gulf are facing problems...They are treaded as slaves.. No embassy is dared to take any action against the so called countries... Now we are taking the case of Haneef as he is a national hero .. If really media wants to do favour for the people of India ask them to go to Gulf and take some reports...and then make a world wide wave so that the Shakes stops to harras the guys...

Absolutely. The Indian media has no other business. They made a hero out of Haneef. What he has done in order to attract so much of publicity>/ whether he has fought our country or has he done something for which the people of the Country should feel proud of.? what made the media to give him a Hero's welcome.?He is only an ex convict who has been discharged because the charges could not be prooved. That dies not mean that he has to be treated like a Natinal Hero. Shame Media Shame.

This is not only the case....we have lots of example...media is taking money from people and then only highlighting the issues.... Now a days we dont see any good news in TV...ONLY MURDER,RAPE... WHAT this people want to show...is india is like Iraq.... even now a days we cannot seat with child to see news...BIG SHAME....

You are right 100%. No concern for Godra carnage?? No concern for Kashmir suicide attacks?? No care towards killing in Andhra / Assam ??? No care for the people living in pathetic condition?? No attention to the ever increasing education cost?? No attention to the ever increasing medical cost?? Not seeing the people dwelling in thousands of slums in India?? Not taking care of beggars around cities?? Not taking care of civic standards around the big cities ?? Sleepless nights for whom??
