The Anti-dowry laws in India are now-a-days rampantly being misused by daughter-in-law's and their families mostly in collusion with police and even doctors (who issue false medical reports) to victimise the husband and his family for no reason or on simple misunderstandings between husband and wife. All members of In-laws family including old persons, women members and other daughter-in-law's in the husband family are falsely implicated. These laws are being used to intimidate in-laws family and Supreme Court has rightly said that these laws are being used as 'LEGAL TERRORISM'. These laws are no way helping the daughter-in-laws who are actually victimised by their in-laws but on the contrary these laws are destroying the basic fabric of an Indian Family and the Institution of Marriage which was an ideal in itself and admired in the world. The FIR in these cases are registered by police without any evidence or verification and just on the complaint by daughter-in-law or her parents and the onus is on the In-laws to prove that they are not guilty. In the process, it is the police, lawyers and judges who mint money at the cost of persons who are victimised by the daughter-in-law. At this hour of crisis I fully support Sh. Arjun Singh. I also know that he will get relief based on facts but what happens to common man is terrible and shamely. What is the benefit of these type of laws which instead of helping people, are destroying families. My family is also a victim of these laws

Agreed with rajesh maheshwari.Now time has been come to punish those who have created legal terrorism on the basis of our law created by our GOD FATHER i.e.Britishers.Laws back to Independence r enacted blindly.And laws related to Dowry r used blindly to blackmail and harass family of boys.It's no doubt that girls need special protection comparable 2 men but what when used by those who r self dependent& more efficient than their husband.they try to either dominate instead of equity priciples as said by constitution.Such girl's need to be punished and thier face smeared with black powder paraded in public.Such girls destroy the life of genuinely harassed girls as judges failed to distinguish between harassed and pretending to be harassed girl for etortion.So law has to think midway so that neither girl's nor boys life is ruined whosoever false may be. In the pretext justice/settlement women organisation r flourishing and making huge money for self like NCW,DCW,CAW etc. In some cases they do genuine settlement but mostly donot work honestly. Also judges worked as sarkari babu just mute spectator 2 cases and donot personally take interset in solving divorce and criminal cases.If they see girl is wrong they donot have guts to take legal action. I think peole of India should mobilise OTHERWISE WE BECOME SLAVE TO A PARTICULAR CLASS OF POLITICIAN AND RICH PEOPLE AFTER BRITISHERS , IN OUR OWN COUNTRY AND OWN PEOPLE. Ashutosh
