Only when the Left took over any country, the stress is given on poverty alleviation, education, employment, wealth distribution and attention is more on country's development. Again the Venezuela has proved this. Before Chavez, only 8% of the people benefited from the rich resource of that country. Now, in an attempt to moving towards Socialism, Health, employment, poverty alleviation, energy are all given importance. Even the country is moving with double digit growth with socialist-oriented policies. Even in US, the so-called rich country, has lot of people living below the poverty line. The Katrina victims still lying in camps. The rehabilitation is yet to reach them.

You are right Indian need growth from lower layers not at just Ambanis, Tatas and premzi levels.....all need to develop equally else India will have huge trouble in balacing poor and rich
