Can a person who betrayed the party which gave her everything be trusted??? Can an opportunist who left the congress just because she was so sure that congress would lose the 2004 general elections in the face of BJPs high profile India Shining Campaign be trusted???
Najam may be competent. . .Yes, honest. . . Maybe. . .But Integrity . . . I have my doubts.
P.S. Eagerly waiting for BJP wolves to pounce on me with their vitriolic and abusive comments.

You call retention of faith with the Congress as 'integrity'? On the contrary, she preferred to leave the party instead of stying as a chamcha of the congress president shows that her integrity is beyond doubt! And that is why she would not get a chance to win too.

Najma Heptullah moved to BJP after she failed to get congress party's nomination for Vice President in 2002. Much like people switching jobs when they don't get a promotion.
She didn't leave because she didn't want to be a chamcha, she left because she was opportunistic.

I guess the blind sheep like behavior of the congress people is called Loyalty? It is the same kind of thing hitler's followers had for hitler! Using your mind, and choosing to distance oneself from evil is not lack of integrity.
Unfortunately, you people are so lost in your hatred for BJP, this hate is harming the country far more than any stupid nonsense that VHP etc do! You are giving corrupt, tainted b**tards lot of power to destroy everything we have managed to achieve, and they are doing it, to the extent that they kicked out the most honest and respectable president we have ever had! Don't tell me you have some problem with the integrity of Kalam too??
By the time you guys will realize what you have done, it will probably be too late!!

I could say the same thing about you congress haters. Your hatred for Sonia Gandhi is harming the country. BJP has nothing on her except for her foreign origin. There are no charges of corruption against her and she has complete loyalty and commitment to India and India's interests. So what if she worked as a waitress. Why is waiting tables looked down upon by BJP supporters. When will you understand dignity of labor.
BJP on the other hand plays petty politics ... like they supported the VP Singh govt. despite its decision to implement Mandal commission report - they withdrew their support only when Advanis' rath yatra was stopped. I can't tell you enough about Gujarat riots and how BJP's inaction both in center and state cost lives. Now BJP leader goes to Pakistan and begs for muslim support there. There is so much dissidence within BJP that some of their MLAs didn't vote for Shekhawat.
No one has ever said anything about Kalam's integrity. He is a great man and I am sure that he is better off as a professor and a scientist than he would have been in rashtrapati bhawan.
... and then you say that congress supporters are wrong ... what's speaking for you if it is not your hate for congress or your blind obsession with BJP that whatever wrong they do, it remains unnoticed by you guys?
why are you guys being unfair to the country you live in?
By the time you guys will realize what you have done, it will probably be too late!!

My dear Loan Shark,
Let me contest each of your points logically. First of all for every V.P. Singh government, there are 10 Chandrsekhar/Deve Gowda/ I.K.Gujral / Charan Singh govenments that the congress supported and then withdrew to hang on to power! Infact chanran singh is the only PM who never entered the Parliament Session as P.M, that is how long his govt. lasted!! BJP's support withdrawal to V.P.Singh was very minor comparitively. So, if you hate BJP for this reason, then you should hate congress five times more!
Secondly, I did not mention anything about hating Sonia for being a waitress. I could say the same thing abt hating Advani for his statements in Pak though. Those statements sounded more truly from heart in opinion, than Sonia's apparent "not interested" in bein PM statement. How stupid can you be to believe that she is not interested in being PM??!! Infact she did not support Kalam because he didn't agree to go with her wishes then!
If you agree about Kalam's integrity, then why did the congress kick him out?? Don't tell me it is because they thought he would be more useful as a professor!! They kicked him out because they wanted a crony in the Rashtrapati Bhavan. When BJP was in power, they did not try to have a crony, that in itself speaks volumes about fair governance of the NDA govt!
You are talking about Gujrat Riots because they happened in a BJP ruled state. Why don't you talk about the Coimbatore Riots, or the Singur massacre, or the innumerable

The political facts against u is termed by u as abusive. The political fact is that i) congress is a party established by a British, Alan Octavian Hume. ii) Congress is a party which always saved British from the wrath of the real revolutionaries. Even Netaji Subhash Chandra had to be stepped down from Congress Presidency by Gandhi only to appease British. iii) Congress was a party in the division of our country. Gandhi had assured to resist it with his comment "It would happen only over my body". Its mockery of his status that he enjoyed partition and supported partition-criminal pakistan's bid for money from India. iv) Therefore it is quite obvious that since its formation Congress Party have systematically eliminated nationalists and taken all the antinational decisions for the petty interest of their leaders. v) therefore at this moment, any congress-supporter are prone to be under suspicion of party to all the antinational activities. vi) Therefore u cannot blame anybody of uttering the same nevertheless it appears to be abusive to u.

If she had stuck with the Congress in those hard times (2004)and not fallen for the shining India campaign, she would have been 'Madam President' today instead of Smt.Patil.Though she may not have been chosen for her-whatever-virtues, she would surely have been a 'convenient' candidate for the Congress.
