Dr.Najma Heptulla is an eminently qualified person with rich parliamentary experience I think she is the long serving deputy chairman of rajya sabha.I feel she should have been the consensus candidate instead of NDA candidate not only for the post of vice president but for that matter even for the post of president instead of Ms.patil.But now I think all parties can unanimously elect her as a vice president.

Sonia Gandhi has provided leadership that is best since Indira Gandhi. BJP supporters have no dirt on her except for her forign origin. She is an Indian now and leads the ruling party. I think that should be enough to keep the Jinnah supporters quiet.

The person (Ansari) who supported muslims not to sing vandemataram is a best candidate. What kind of people are living in India. This is a good lesson for the world, what happens if good people become a minority in democracy. After all democracy in India has become a mere numbers game rather than guarding national interests.

its true that she is an eminant personality but the way she left congress for the heck of being rajaya sabha has eroded her credibilty.moreover in indian brand of choosing presidents and vice presidents its not the quality of person but politics which plays the spoiling hands otherwise we would Not another president in the place of Dr. kalam.No one can beat his tract records but he is not the president any more.But a Pity!!!!!!!!
