I wanted to thank you sir, for your deep insight into the Central Intelligence Agency. You have proved that you have achieved, what some may seem to be difficult, enlightenment in the area of International Politics. I'm sure that before you posted this response you checked the article and made sure the response was appropriate. Your knowledge in history of the country or countries that you talk impressed me the most. Comparing the Republic of India to the Republic of Haiti is like comparing apples to oranges, and only the brilliant mind, such as yourself, could have done that.
Facts like the Haitian Revolution that took place due to the dictatorial rule by Fran%uFFFDois Duvalier and his son after him, which resulted in great massacres and arrests and made Haiti the most poorest country in the Western Hemisphere; have no impact to the point that you were making.
It was a sensible thing to do, saying that China and Russia are more credible than America, in fact you might be the first one to say it. I'm sure that during the Cold War, when India sided with the Soviet Union, no one had thought of such a revolutionary idea as this. Your advice to the Research and Analysis Wing will make them indebted to you for life.
As we try to lead our country into the 21st century, we need patriots like you. You with the old Cold War mentality who draws amazing connections from nothing to nothing. All I can say is "Thank you sir."

Here is a site for you.

This is CIA's greatest hits. A litany of covert operations, assasinations , drug dealings and interference in the political affairs of other countries.

Jehan Mir, People's minds are conditioned to look for information freely available to suit their prejudiced views. Two people with different objectives can use subsets selectively from the same set of facts to argue effectively (atleast seemingly to themselves) for or against a case. But reality tends to be somewhere contorted so deeply into events and facts that it's almost impossible to conclude what it effectively is. The most pragmatic approach is to understand the broad idea (not what suits oneself) and move on. In this particular case, India and USA are trying to acheive a win-win situation guided by the following: India wants energy badly - they dont have proven sources of enery to feed their huge requirements. They want relatively environment friendly (read non carbon) sources of energy and pretty soon. USA needs friends and less worldwide emissions. The troublesome areas are India's soverignity and India's rights to reprocess spent fuel which the US worries about accidental leakage of nuclear knowhow to the wrong hands. That is all there is to it!

Haiti was just one example in South and Central America. The worm eat up apples and oranges alike.
This US inteference in the internal affairs of other countries is well known to everyone. Rediff would run out of space,if I have to recount it.
Only time will tell. You are waiting ,I am waiting too. In the meantime ,its party time for India and USA. Bottoms Up .

Mir, I apperciate your concern but we have faith in Indian spirit which is hrm.. 5000 years old. It is that spirit that keeps us together from the Himalayas to the Indian Ocean. Your country would have been part of this great legacy but... ok past is past... It is because of this spirit we are not ruled by any general but by a parliment and have the option of recycling the politician once every 5 years thereby not letting any single scum to rule us forever. I dont think US is beig enough to hurt this spirit.. We are not afraid of them.. Your country did not have an identity that is why when its spirit was sold to the americans you people kept quiet
