In India, the militants in Kashmir are Muslim. But they are only one of several militant groups. The Punjab militants, led by Bhindranwale, were Sikhs. The United Liberation Front of Assam is a Hindu terrorist group that targets Muslims rather than the other way round. Tripura has witnessed the rise and fall of several terrorist groups, and so have Bodo strongholds in Assam. Christian Mizos mounted an insurrection for decades, and Christian Nagas are still heading militant groups.
But most important of all are the Maoist terrorist groups that now exist in no less than 150 out of India%u2019s 600 districts. They have attacked police stations, and killed and razed entire villages that oppose them. These are secular terrorists (like the Baader Meinhof Gang or Red Brigades). In terms of membership and area controlled, secular terrorists are far ahead of Muslim terrorists.
In sum, terrorism is certainly not a Muslim monopoly. There are or have been terrorist groups among Christians, Jews, Hindus, Sikhs, and even Buddhists. Secular terrorists (anarchists, Maoists) have been the biggest killers. Why then is there such a widespread impression that most or all terrorist groups are Muslim? I see two reasons. First, the Indian elite keenly follows the western media, and the West feels under attack from Islamic groups. pakistany army has killed some people in lal masjid.no one protested.but think if that happened in india then think if few muslim terrorist are hidden in mosque in india and they have kept some people in ban and if indian army has to kill them then what would have happened?

haa if we ask him abt islamic terrorist he's pointing at ltte, farhan ltte is a terrorist org but they r not religious fanatics they want tamil land and they blow up each other in their own country. Bombing Rajiv, ya that was bad and my sister tanu got killed for that and my brother sivarasan got shot too.

99% of terrorist is Muslim.The other 1% is the Hindu LTTE who killed hindu rajiv gandhi, RSS Godse who eliminated Mahatma Gandhi and Singhs of Punjab who sprayed bullets into Mrs. Indira Gandhi. Interestingly the 1% killed 3 great leaders. The 99% yet not succesful in eliminating a political leader .
And the terrorist which is not even counted is the Pujya Mata & Pita of unborn Hindu Girls of 18 states.
The female foeticide & infanticide which prevails in India, specially the Hindi belt is a painful reality. what about this Hindu parental terrorism, killing their own child. I think a suicide bomber is far more humane than these mothers & fathers & grand parents who put the little female hearts to sleep forver.
