We have no words to express our regret that Dr.Kalam had to step down from being our President. We have come down for a short trip to India from Australia, and it is driving us to fury on seeing the situation that still persists here, knowing and having seen how well other countries can do. Yes, we have a huge population, but can that not be used to our advantage? It is disgusting to see that our government and other politicians seem more prone to attacking each other and covering their own backs that they have forgotten about the people who (mostly foolishly!) have voted them into power. Dr.Kalam's appointment as President came as a ray of hope that perhaps, after all, we have woken up to the need for aggressive leaders - agressive not in power and might, but in thought and ambition, aggressive in having a drive to be the best in the world, agressive in thinking big and more importantly achieving our dreams. It is indeed a sad moment for India not just that he is stepping down, but that we are back at the mercy of politicians. We can only hope and pray that the new President will prove us all wrong by being more than a normal politician and do what she will be taking an oath to do - to put the country and its people in front of all else.

our polititions are more interested in creating religious trouble and not interested in the grouth of the country. what to do we go on constructing temples after temples to satisfy sadiest minds of fools who will be happy in seeing the religious fights.
