Great person are judged by their vision. Unless you have a great vision for whatever you are doing you can't achieve it. Kalam will go down as the best president the country ever had. while going out of office he told what he wants and he wanted for his country.
He asked the parliamentaeians to do it as he is no longer in office and he can't see his vision being shared across the MP's and leaders in the same way.
Anyway, that's the sad part of it.
The bright side is that he has already set high Standards for the highest office of the country. So if the successor don't perform then the party who favoured will get the blame and will suffer losses as well. So by favouring Pratibha both Congress , left and Pratibha himself will be under tremendous pressure to set the things right and do things by retaining the prestige of the highest office of the country as the nation will be watching you carefully and will judge by your performance not by words.
Well Done Mr. Kalam. You have taken to great heights the image of the highest office of country and set the high standards for the successor.
so if you have lost the first innings it doesn't mean the match has come to an end. You may be a winner in second innings and that you have done by delivering the master stroke lecture to parliamentarians.
Good Luck Mr. Kalam. We would have loved to see another term but sad our parliamentarians don't theink the way people of country think.
