I feel sorry for the poeple of India, we have a dummy PM and now a dummy President, both are in position because of Sonia, and we all know who would be calling the shots.

What do yiu mean dummy president and prime Minister ....this is democracy brother ..Prime minister belongs to Congress so whats wrong if congress president gives advice to PM ...May be u guys want a dictator like saddam or musharaf who are more independent

Hyderabadi-Sarkar, you cannot obviously see beyond your Maratha caste and the Marathi language intests. Hence your worship for Patil. Sonia is a dictator who has the PM and the president in her pocket (when she is wearing jeans with pockets in them that is).

FYI I am not from maratha and never been to Maratha..what do mean sonia is a dictator ...she is the president of congress during the elections and its common for president of winning party to take the highest position ..

doesn't matter who you are and where you are from. from your comments you are coming across as someone who has done nothing but sucking butts of gandhi family members and can't see beyond the contours of the same. and you believe in democracy then go to the educated indian population who have enough sense of right and wrong to see if this puppet of sonia would have any chance in the world to get elected as the president.. majority of us would reserve their judgment on how she performs given that she is already elected but given that she was not worthy enough to be even vaguely familiar to us means she was not doing anything useful in her life.. but it is sad to see such that indian polity has stooped so low.. it could have happened only under present congress leadership.. you can estimate the intellect and ability of the mother from the comments the son makes in public..

Everyone keeps abusing each other. Wats the use a purpose of a President or PM whose a mere puppet in the hands of so called SONIA. Whatever...... India might be becoming better and economy might be improving a lot... there are whole lot of things going into this... INDIA would be a super power or a no.1 economy when these politicians shed and come of mere puppet show....

I know India might be growing, but where is the democracy? Do millions of uneducated people even know what they are voting for except for following the crowd and melting under peer, political, social or financial pressure.
Indian politics is a mess, and we have seen the president's position being politicized as well. Except putting her rubber stamp to the papers where sonia would want, what other contribution can she make to the country at such a crucial developing stage and replacing a man like Abdul Kalam who atleast has had a vision of india as super power even when he was a young scientist....pathetic decision i believe.
