Electoral college system for electing President..

Please learn about the electoral college system for electing a President.

Also learn about the Election process in your country.

Sonia got elected from Bellary in Karnataka and also from Delhi. What kind of a law allows this to happen?

Why does India election law allows a candidate to contest elections from 2 different locations?

Law changes PENDING...

As per our constitution, this condition facilitates that the person has support from various parts of India would be a capable candidate for the post of PM & might do justice to the hounorable post.

This is rational thinking but on the flip side, it's necessary to have re-election for the other places from where the candidate later di n't wish to hold the place. This puts strain on our system from every aspect, be it from finance, politics, civilian facility burden etc.

How much of that is followed in practice...well we all know!
