It may be a Celebration or a matter of Joy / Victory for Congress & all those who are wishing her. But the fact remains that Congress got what they were looking for %u2013 A Rubber stamp, a dumb President.
Are we looking for a President of India or A woman President, A Marathi President, A SC President, and A Bengali President? Our Politics has gone dirty, cheap & low. We prefer discrimination, divide people, exploit the religion & bring Criminalization that has entered deep into our politics that we cannot survive without it.
Let intellectuals or Political Pundits compare & revert. Is there any comparison between Dr. Kalam & Pritibha? We ignored & discarded a highly qualified, Scientist with a graceful personality to project himself in world arena as First person from India. It is our Govt only decorated him with BHARAT RATTAN, PADAM BHUSHAN, PADAM VIBHUSHAN & also received Hon Doctorate from 30 Universities. All those who were backing Ms Pratibha agree that she is better option than Dr. Kalam in comparison?
Shame that we have chosen a Tainted person & discarded a highly qualified person such as Dr Kalam sending out such a qualified person & as usual bringing in a TAINTED person.
I have no interest in Congress or BJP or any other party but really feel sorry for this selection & waste of public money in electing Ms Pratibha Patil as President. H.S.Marwah

No doubt Dr Kalam is more distinguished than Patil, but he belongs in a science lab not in politics. He was chosen because BJP wanted to salvage its anti-muslim image ... for the same reason that Advani chose to eulogise Jinnah in a country that sponsors terror in India.
