Electing such people to the highest office of the president of a nation of 1.1Billion exposes the attrition of the values of political properity.An excuse of being a woman is just a diabolical idea for there astronomical figures of women being mere 'puppets'at the hands of their male relatives.Can't hope a better show from this tainted & demoniac "Rashtrapatni"

Democracy at work. It is nice to see even presidents are selected by proper election and system. Unlike most of the members in the forum, I am actually proud of what is happening. Character assasination of Pratibha Patil is nothing but conspiracy theories and politically motivated. Its time we believe in the system. Also, she being compared to Kalam is also not fair. Kalam had glamor but brought in very few changes to India (he himself accepted that he should have achieved more). Cmon guys dont rely on conspiracy theories and blacken indian democracy
