No compromise on our Nuclear capability
by Harish on Jul 18, 2007 01:08 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Well said Chakravarthy, I think our Nuclear Scientists are the last line of defense in these negotiations to shackle India to the Anglo-American Establishment. The fact is well know that the Anglo-American establishment has always tried to keep India weak and emasculated. The Americans have always supported our arch enemy - Pakistan.

Our Scientists have worked very hard to achieve the present level of nuclear capability. The main reason the American have come up with this offer to to prevent India from acquiring further competence in Thorium processing which the Americans never anticipated. Now that India is likely to attain self sufficiency and sustenance in this field they want to hijack it thru this Nuclear Agreement and over a period of time roll back our Nuclear Weapons programme. Nuclear weapons are essential for India's survival, look at what has happenned to non-nuclear weapon states like Iraq, Nicaragua, Grenada in this Anglo-American dominated world. Even a smaller country like Iran has shown more resolve against the Americans in pursuing their weapons program.
The Indian Negotiators should not compromise any aspect of our security. After all it should be remembered that the Americans initiated these discussions, it was their need and if they want an agreement they have to do it on our terms and conditions. No comprise there.
