Hurrying the Deal for whose sake, please?
by Chakravarthy Muralidhar on Jul 18, 2007 12:04 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Every busy body in the Indian bureaucracy is scurrying and flitting from Washingston to Delhi to 'see the deal through' as per the wishes of the American orchestrators! Can their be anything more tragic for a democratic nation such as India and more demeaning for the so-called ruler (politicians) and the administrators (bureaucrats)? Has anyone taken a breather for a short while to review and address the question "For whose sake should we hurry to sign this deal when some of the most basic issues of mutual trust, respect and will to cooperate has not been addressed and convincingly answered by the Americans. All that the deal seems to highlight is the need for India's nuke research to be thrown open for easy espionage and then be capped from further progress.
Not a single nuke scientist or technologist is interested in any deal with America. Ultimately, who are going to operationalize the Agreement? Is it the PM, his cabinet colleagues and the bureaucrats or the scientists and engineers in the various research labs, development and production units? If it is the latter, then better ask them first. And when they have already said "NO" in one single resolute voice, then better rescind and hold back. Don't rush falsely imagining that you are creating some great history.
It is time for us to stop our aging, unthinking politicians and the shallow greedy bureaucrats from tying down the future of the country for their personal glorification and wealth.

indian scientists prefer to work for america, only those whose visa has been rejected remain behind

TWO SCIENTISTS FROM INDIA HAVE WON NOBEL PRIZE FOR USA (KHORANA, CHANDRASEKHAR) WHILE ONLY ONE HAS WON NOBEL PRIZE FOR INDIA (C.V.RAMAN) AND THAT TOO IN 1930 BEFORE INDEPENDENCE.

SHOWS CLEARLY INDIAN SCIENTISTS PREFER TO WORK FOR AMERICA
