Muslim blindfaith
by Tam Jhaam on Jul 19, 2007 06:19 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

I see it as amazing that all the Muslims are coming out of their woodworks to lend their support to this guy with assumption that he is innocent without a shred of doubt, while the facts on the ground suggest otherwise and the jury is still out.
I remember right after 9/11, most Muslims proclaimed that Osama is innocent because there isn't sufficient evidence.
It's a proven statistically proven fact that most terrorists are Muslims, still they plead innocence for every terrorists. It's Muslims people's nepotism over their absolute lack of even a minimal sense of justice and right/wrong is what pisses me off and makes me never to trust them.

Well then he has nothing to worry, does he. Sooner or later he will be let go.
But if a jihadi bomb making website pops up on his computer, then he is going to be fried in hot oil.

I never questioned what / who you are. But your preemptive declaration raisess some doubt, just like the defense of Haneef.
Notwithstanding what you are, my statements stand.

If your assumption is that I am Muslim, then you are demonstrating the dangers of assumption. If you ASSUME you risk making an ASS out of U and ME. I'd rather shun labels but since you seem so insistent, I'm an Australian born of English parents, Jewish-born Christian educated Buddhist. Tam Jhaam...Please take a breath in through your nostrils. And let it go. Repeat as many times as you like. Assumption and generalisation go hand in hand and have led to many injustices all on the basis of labels, labels, labels... Sorry no name on my first post, this one too probably - I am new to this - help?! TROPPOCHOOK with love

I am not talking about you, and the people who are supporting Haneef in Australia. I think those aussies who are supporting him have either some ulterior political motivation or they have a big heart.
I was talking more about the people in the comments section. And you being English born Aussie does not change a thing of what I said.
I am just comparing the muslims in media and over here in comments who spoke against the terrorist caught in UK, trying to commit mass murder, versus muslims who spoke in support of Haneef. I don't think I even saw the former moderate muslims, I only saw latter ones.
You being an Aussie are acting as conscience to your fellow Aussie is what is missing from muslim community. Their community is totally amoral.
