Haneef's detention
by Naseem on Jul 17, 2007 02:53 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Haneef should be treated in a fair manner. He has done nothing for being treated as a crimanl.
India has to put pressure on the Australian govt to get Haneef a fare trail. It is not only his life which might effect but his wife and the daughter who are in India. If his work visa is revoked then will the Australian govt give him work after 18 months. Will he be given the same status as it was b4. Indian govt has to take this matter seriously and help the Indian's abroad.

Aus govt will never give him Visa again even if he gets released from there. They will deport him asap. After that he can not go to UK, Australia, Canada or USA. he got fair trial and thats why he got bail. And now he is under detenion for cancellation of Visa status. Aus authorities doesnt want him to move freely in Australia until case against him is settled, which may take another week. Once he found innocent, australia will deport him and if he is found guilty will stay there for 10-15 yrs in prison.

If he is found guilty, let them hand this fellow to US. He should have his cell readied in Guatanomo Bay already.

Else, if he returns to India, he will be made to sit in Parliament.

Common guys..lets not talk of "he is muslim..guilty..why not..be detained ..AP is right..etc." He was detained, interrogated, and U know Australian police will not leave any leaf unturned..for proving their point...despite all this..he was not charged till 12 days post detension, then when the media started questioning the AP's intentions, it became an issue of pride for them to make their case worst..the Judge grabted him the bail..the AP is now in a real soup...has to defend..catching Haneef's ear round his head..." so they did it.
Now think...who is right and who is wrong..
