what kafeel did his wrong
by SYED YOUSUFUDDIN on Jul 17, 2007 06:33 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

what kafeel has done is wrong and all muslims can't be blamed for it. He can't be a true muslim. Just some muslim name will not make him a muslim. "Whoever kills a person [unjustly]%u2026it is as though he has killed all mankind. And whoever saves a life, it is as though he had saved all mankind." (Qur%u2019an, 5:32)

Syed,

Of course you are right. No religion gives saction to murder. Those who are talking against Islam are being unfair and ignorant. It is probably both fear and hate. But you can't blame them either as we are all mere human beings and we react the way we react. Today we need to be patient. otherwise more of our brothers will kill themselves and others. We do not need it. We need peace and the ability to live togerther in harmony. there is joy and happiness in that. We are all GOD's creation.

Here is what the Quran says: that if anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or (and) to spread mischief in the land - it would be as if he killed all mankind, and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind.) The Ayah states, whoever kills a soul without justification -- such as in retaliation for murder or for causing mischief on earth -- will be as if he has killed all mankind, because there is no difference between one life and another"

On the face of it, it is very noble. However, the definition of "mischief on earth" is the crux. Shirk (polytheism) is also considered to be "mischief on earth".

What are we to understand?
