Hi Muneer, I agree with your first para, having studied among others in Christian, Muslim institutions and also lived in muslim countries.
Fanatics are in every religion and even in most families. They find some excuse to hate others. If at all there is God, there can be only one as an uneducated African can give his blood to the most beautiful girl in the world and save her life. Why, he can even procreate with her. Religion and colour, no bar.
I just cannot understand why people get so worked up about unseen Gods. Honestly, nobody has seen God or even experienced him. Where were we before we were born. In heaven or hell. We were nowhere. We come as a hard disk wiped clean. From the day a child is born, he is influenced by our mostly negative thoughts. Why spend all our energy and time to your offspring only, while oblivious to other sufferings? Man is always insecure and narrow minded. All problems will be solved if we look at another as a fellow human being, with the same aspirations to life.
Just because my uncle was unreasonable when I was young does not mean I have to hate him and his family. Likewise, we have to forget and forgive. If we carry on grudges, we all will be blind. We have to take positive steps to isolate the few with obsessive thoughts. The wild and provocative words in the web are mostly teenage angst. We have to build brick by brick but we should start somewhere. It is like politics. We blame our politicians, but how many vote?

then why not all muslims who are opposed to Terrorism come out and protest aganist these terrorists who do in the name of islam.
If there are cartoon pics, they start screaming, now they pray 5 times a day and blow themseleves up ... these muslims have to come out and protest againist it.

How can you compare Monty Panesar with terrorists? Nasir husain captain of England was also backed by Indians.
