we are seeing bjp in its true colours now. they are trying each every dirty trick in their arsenal to avoid a massive defeat in the presidential election.
it is a foregone conclusion that pratibha patil will win and shektawat will loose.
in a presidential election it is generally the ruling parties candidate who will win , because they have the numbers.
instead of graciously accepting this , the bjp is trying every dirty trick.
PIL , petitions , declaration of assets , unproven and unfounded allegations against pratibha patil , the bjp has made a mess of this election and in the bargain made a mess of their reputation too.
the bjp has made this a precedence for future presidential elections and they will get a taste of the same medicine for every candidate they propose for president in future.
and being a party with a difference they do not have any clean candidates for the forseeable future. all are involved in human traffiking , corruption , communal cases, criminal cases.

Mr Ravi Kumar,
How can you say that the BJP only is involved in human trafficking, corruption, communal cases, and criminbal cases.
Can you tell that is there any party from UPA and its allies without corruption , and free from communal cases and criminal cases. Please mind that we the citizens are fool and the so called politicians are taking advantages of the same. Once an MLA or MP is elected then no public can question them and they will be at our doorstep only when the election is conducted after five years. They promise so many things an finally the poor citizen who elected them has no right to question them. This is the Indian Constitution.Every citizen of India has got the right to choose right candidate for the presidentship. But the Indian constitution never permit public opinion which is greate draw back.
I feel that as per your view you are sure that BJP will come in power next time as per your sentence before the last.
What is the meaning of secular Government. One side they give so much importance to certain community by giving all facilities and other side they forget other community. Is it a secular Government?".Their action is only for the vote banks and in the next election definately the present Government understand the mind of every citizen of India. The people are eucated and they are able to analyse their eperience, about th price of commodity, living cost which this government is not able to control. Even this Government is trying

dear mohan
sahadevan and prabhat r just spreading lies against sekhawat by writing hundreds of junk mails and not saying anything about the drawbacks of the candidate, who is going to win. ravi kumar is just extension of that.

When Sushma, Advani and you do not talk about the positives of your own candidate Shri Shekhawat, and busy talking about Mrs. Patil , how do you expect us talk about her.
Is your "collective voice" ( Sushma Advani you) falling short of range that you need us to talk against Mrs Patil.
Fight your own war, friend.
And fight with a clear-cut stance, like Sahadevan does.
why u r not abloe to see the true colours of sonia's congress? firstly they did not support kalam's reelection, though he was the choice of educated indians. not only that lalu, sharad pawar & dasmunsi made abusive remarks against him, bcoz of which he did not stand for reelection.
when bjp was in power they went for a consensus and got kalam, a non political person elected. why sonia wants only one of her strong sycophants to becom president? moreover patil has a dubious past and strange present.
it is the wife of the murdered congressman, who has charged patil and not bjp, so do not tell lies in favour of this lady, who is unfortunately going to b our next president. she has also been involved in many financial irregularities.
It's a simple convention, that the ruling party takes first initiative on the Presidential Candidate.
During NDA regime, they proposed Mr Kant's name and then changed to Alexandar and finally put forward Dr Kalam's name when proposed by Samajwadi Party.
Congress agreed. And the "consensus" achieved.
( At that moment Dr Kalam had no credential on political map.)
This time when UPA rules, it would have been logical for UPA to initiate the name for the Presidential candidate.
NDA had met Dr Kalam. He had indicated he would take up if there were consensus.
Bajpayee declared that it would be difficult to get the "number" for Dr Kalam and declared Shekhawat's name.
Next, UPA declared their Presidential candidate, Mrs. Patil.
Bjp stuck to Shri Shekhawat.
3rd front inspite of knowing that Dr Kalam had no numbers, declared Dr Kalam' candidature.
They thought Dr Kalam would politely turn down and they would get their 15 minutes fame on TV.
But Dr Kalam changed his "stance" from "consensus" to "certainty" of win.
3rd front, returned to inform Dr kalam after 48 hours, that they could not get numbers to "ensure the certainty".
This where Dr Kalam went wrong. He knew "apart from him there were 2 other candidates". He wanted to contest. Yet only if there was certainty of winning.
You do not contest only if there were certainty. That greed factor would now always stay as a blot inspite of his great work in 5 years.
Why did Dr Kalam did this? It was most probably his staff who led him believe that he would surely win.
Now again Shri Shekhawat's credentials to refresh your memory :
1) Shri Shekhawat's British Police job when Quit India movement was at its pick. 2) Suspension from job for taking bribe from Salt Traders. 3) Open link with Drug Smuggler Ashini Bhardwaj. Shekhawat pleaded with then Rajasthan CM to release this Smuggler. 4) Scandalous connection with Shalini Sharma, who was arrested for immoral activities. 5) Protecting Son-in-Law in Land Scam and telling the Assembly that CBI had cleared him while the fact that he never reffered to CBI. 6) Election financing for himself and his Son-in-Law by dubious characters.
First hand revealation by Arjun Singh, his ex-colleague in Police, Bhardwaj who financed his elections and Mr Mathur who provided him suppport during his "suspension" days are available for you to vet so called lies being spread by BJP about Shri Shri Shekhawat.
If you ( Mr Sharma )take only 10 minuites off from this forum and do your research, you will not put your comments ever again.

You see BJP was almost politically dead. No issue to talk about. Infact, that led to so much of internal conflict. This Presidential campaign has become a muscle building exercise for them. Instead of talking "Positives of their own candidate" , they resorted to "talking about other candidate". instead of launching a web site highlighting their own candidate, they launched a website on the rival candidate.
Instead of allowing the candidates to approach the MP's with their own candidature, they "polarised" the Presidential election with "press conferences" and "story plants".
( Ofcourse,in the process we also learnt a lot about Shekhawat's personal deeds.)
BJP's actions have always been "short term" without realizing the long term consequences.
But I guess one has to live with it.
Infact, I am more angry with V. P. Singh for helping BJP to come to the centre stage than BJP itself.

dear sahadevan
no patriotic indian will believe in your lies. they wanted to see kalam reelected. but left and sonia rejected him (left rejected 2nd time). i have no connection with bjp, but i cannot support a party, where there is no internal democracy but only monarchy, which is leading to unprecedented power to the italian lady, though she got only 145/545 loksabha seats and recently got 22/450 up seats. not only that u have out up a lady with dubious past and strange present, instead of supporting reelection of kalam. unfortunately she will b our next president.

dear prabhat
though i am not a bjp supporter, i am disgusted at lot of lies being propagated through lot of your messages. bjp was not politically dead. they have defeated your sonia in punjab, himachal etc. u got a big drubbing in up remaining 4th, with lower seats. u could some how save goa. u r high linghting the shortcoings of sekhawat, but u r ignoring shortcomins of congress candidate.
THIS TIME KALAM WAS INSULTED BY LEFT & SONIA, BCOZ U PEOPLE DID NOT SUPPORT HIM AFTER HIS NAME WAS PROPOSED BY 3RD FRONT AND SUPPORTED BY NDA. 90% OF EDUCATED PEOPLE OF THE COUNTRY, WHO SEE INTERNET, WERE SUPPORTING KALAM. BUT U DID NOT CARE FOR THEM. P MUKHERJEE EVEN SAID THAT PEOPLE DO NOT ELECT PRESIDENT. LALU, SHARAD PAWAR AND DASMUNSHI MADE DEROGATORY REMARKS ABOUT KALAM, AFTER WHICH HE REMOVED HIMSELF FROM THE RACE BY NOT CONTESTING.
NOT ONLY THAT U PEOPLE R SUPPORTING A LADY WITH DUBIOUS PAST AND STRANGE PRESENT & SADLY SHE IS GOING TO B OUR PRESIDENT SHORTLY. HER MAIN QUALIFICATION BEING SHE IS A VERY STRONG SUPPORTER OF THE DYNASTY INCLUDING THE ITALIAN LADY.

For "Not a BJP Supporter", you are quite "touchy" about BJP and fight relentlessly for their cause.
Looks like, Mr Sharma you are as independent as Shri Shekhawat to Bjp.
And about lies, just because you refuse go beyound few pages of this forum for your research work, you should not term info as lies.
If you are serious about defending Shri Shekhawat, please come out the closet and fight point by point with some pointers to your argument.
Take a clear stance, my friend, do not act and play a shy bride.
