Once upon a time we gaped at our public figures and / or celebrities in awe; now we study every strach, scar, nip, tuck and abrasion.

No question is too small or insignificant for us to look at closely.

If they chose to be in the public domain then so be it. Even 60 years later ... warts and all ... let it all hang out.

Even if this is just a promotion for "India Remembered: A Personal Account of the Mountbattens During the Transfer of Power" where their daughter "Pammy" admits that the last viceroy of India, Lord Mountbatten, could not control his 'philandering wife' Edwina.

What's more as 'consumers' of the resulting books, plays, movies, videos and photographs -- that's us -- we are not primarily looking to be entertained or transported. We're just looking for data, more and more data, the more raw the better.

And who cares whether an honest Congress Party will accept the truth or not or that whether, today, it hurts some of us -- or all of us -- or not!

The truth is, "Mamu" has been Mountbattened i.e. Mounted by this little Miss Batten.
