In the first place it was naive to think and believe that the US was interested in the energy interests of India. They were only interested in their own commercial and political interests (may be its their right to look after their interests).
The credit of underselling India goes entirely to the Prime Minister who seems to have gone into this exercise without considering the objections raised by eminent Scientists who know better on this subject, and infact that of the Left parties with wose support this Govt is existing.

That is true US ins not interested in India's energy security. But Indians need Energy ( good qualty continuous electricity) India has 300 Billion USD surplus and Rupee is appreciating against USD. Now choice is >> Buy Nuclear reactors or Defence armaments from US).
or Nuclear reactors we need gauranteed assurred Long term supply contracts for Nuclear fuel.
US is main culprit sitting tightly and controlling nuclear suppliers group.

There are so many Indian minds(Say our President) who can give a better advise on these issues.Bcz they can very well tell on both scentific and political stand point what are the pros and cons...I dont know what our PM Doctor is going to do..
