Australians refuse Indian doctors
by sangu r on Jul 08, 2007 03:27 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Reports from Australia say patients at a hospital refused treatment by Indian medical staff as Britain probes the role of Indian doctors in a aborted terror plot.

Doctors who did not want to be identified said, patients suspected that they had connection with terror groups.

But the Queensland Health Minister Stephen Robertson said only a few of the hospital staff faced the problem. He added, ''its not the Australian way''.

The second doctor, Mohammad Haneef remains in police custody since Monday.

Ali had driven Haneef to Brisbane airport Monday night where police arrested him.
