Misinterpretation and misguidance have been the primary cause of all this. A sane person with the right mind will never use the religion as a source of instigating violence.

Why dont Hindus introspect? When we have mass discrimination in our own community where texts written by Manu are downright cruel and unjust, do Hindus come out in the open and denounce it ?

Indian villages still have massive discrimination in their own community and all sorts of violence against lower castes which is terrorism !

Classic case of Pot calling the Kettle black !

Please dont talk about Manu's texts as being cruel and unjust if you havent read them. Then again you must think of the era they were written in to make judgements. I feel people must strictly keep religion as their private affairs and not bring it into their public lives. All are human beings of equal stature. Let's first start viewing everyone without any prejudice in our own circles, then we will put an end to all godhras and gujarats and everything else that is wrong.
