When it comes to tackling news from the western media, the mindset of the indian media is that of the servile mentality, ingrained into them by a roguish rule of over 150 years. When a terror plot is foiled / terrorists are apprehended, the indian media enmasse goes defending the culprits / picking holes in the government / intelligence agencies and if it happens to be a non congress government, it gets into a witch hunting exercise. Look at the cases in Britain. First they came with a story of liquid bombs last year - no proper evidence was ever given - just the word of their agencies. Again they have detained suspects, and it is the intelligence version which comes online. The british media is very silent - no talks of human rights / no picking holes in the theory.
Also strangely you would notice that most of the terror plots in USA and UK are unravelled just around the presidential / prime minister elections, or a major shift in the public ideology. I wonder where is ms. arundati roy, shabana azmi, N.Ram, Rajeep Sardesai, Teesta Setalvad et al? Why dont they raise their voices for the apprehended persons? Worried if they do so, they may not get their UK / USA Visas?
Fellow readers serious reflect - The western media when it comes to their national security issues, they clamp shut - they dont question their governments intents / working methods. Did any media criticize for the abject failure of US Intelligence in allowing 5 planes to get hijacked on the same day and

Indian media guys come very cheap. Just a bottle of low quality Diplomat or Aristocrat whiskey is enough for them to write the story that is handedto them. The story of Saddam Hussein having stockpiled weapons of mass destruction was started by the Indian media just because the CIA gave these media guys some cheap drinks.

The indian media blindly believes in western media. They believe that those people r always right. It is true that 2 indians have been detained. But whether they are involved or not is not yet clear. It will take some time. The TV channels are discussing sensationalizing them. Not many have been killed. We are discussing more of others problem when we have many problems of our own. In the last few days 1)Rains killed more people than any bomb in recent past (50 in AP alone) 2) Naxalites torched railway stations and buses 3) 3 soldiers are comitting suicide every week
IF we are the next super power then we should put put our problems first. Yes indians are detained in UK and we should ascertain the truth. But lets focus and find solutions for our problems. If Mumbai is india's financial capital and it is in this state then what will be the state of hinterland. Lets us forget UK plot and become selfish.
