I dont know why suddenly the Govt is so interested in digging up a cannal ... its really pathetic, how can one of the most fastest growing country in the world bow down to the so called super powers -- I feel its them who are pulling the strings -- why can't the Govt guys understand by digging a cannal we are at loss, we r destroying our own heritage, marine life and environment ... The facts put by the author are true .. And what does Mdm Ambika Soni know about the people who's livelyhood is dependent on the setu. It's high time the Govt of India put their efforts in something more constructive than constructing this so called CANNAL ... the cannal will not help us in the long term
