Salman Rushdie did not exposed errors and mistakes in Islam and Quran (coz they have none) what he did was in order to achieve whatever he may have been looking for (i dont know that) he misinterpreted the meanings and teachings of Quran and thats why Fatwa was issued against him. Is it not just to kill a person who for his own sake misinterprets and publishes the very base of faith and belief of billions of people across the globe.
Didnt hindus cried foul when the name Krishna or Ram (i dont remember)was used in some not so appropriate advertisement in the USA.
Yes, they did not went to the extent of issuing a Fatwa coz this incident did not in any way contrary to the teachings of their sacred books in which they believe but I certainly know it did created havoc and ultimately that advertisement was withdrawn.
ONE ADVICE FOR YOU DEAR FRIEND, DONT GO ON PERCEPTIONS AND STORIES, IF YOU REALLY WANNA KNOW WHAT QURAN AND ITS TEACHINGS ARE, GO GET A COPY OF QURAN WITH TRANSLATION AND JUST READ IT FULLY.............BUT WITHOUT ANY BIAS AND PREOCCUPATION OF THOUGHTS.......HAVE A GREAT TIMES TO COME !!

Dear Sriram,
QUERY - 1:
THERE IS NO COMPULSION IN ISLAM....
If the Option is to Convert to Islam or Kill, means then why are you still alive..
Option-1:
Muslims ruled India for 1000 Years, if your assumption is true means, then all the 90 crore hindus should be dead or converted into Muslim.
Option-2:
If the Hindus were successful in retaliating Muslim Invaders and retained Hinduism, then why there was 1000 Years of Muslim Rule ??
Option-3:
The last assumption is all the Hindus lived a Nomadic life and Hiding for the Muslims... This is also false... Go to any Indian City, you can see the Palace of Muslim Kings near to Hindu Settlements for Centuries..
The Moral of the story is Nobody is compelled to change the Religion... That is why you are here alive and as a Hindu...
Every Hindu in India is a Living Proof that Compulsion is not used...

Q 1. jahangir may had killed bikramjit's son(wether correct or not) but it has nothing to do with islam as it is political move, whoever king won the battle he has taken hard steps with his enemy wether it is muslim or pre islamic hindu kings(recent example is execution of saddam by US)
Q 2. why u r condemning ashoka, instead he had united india, yes all other hindu kings were fighting & all bad practices r happening in ur religion at that time. Ghouri was helped by jaidev against prithviraj chauhan, babar was called by rana sanga against ibrahim lodi.
Q 3. conversion was not forceful it was dalit hindus who converted due to attrocities against them, even if today also this conversion is taking place eg; lot many(10000) approx. dalits converted to buddhism recently on ambedkar jayanti in maharashtra
to sum up u simply cant digest that muslims has ruled this country, they mixed up here, changed the culture of country, u ppl consider muslims as invaders without knowing that u r also invaders( aryans). this country actually belong to nomadic dravidians who has been barbarically treated by aryans some 3000-4000 yrs ago

There are two types of People in the World... Suppose if somebody calls your Mother in a derragatory statement, you will either oppose it or close your ears... It shows your affection towards your Mother not your Weakness...
So Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) is 1000 times more important than my Mother, how can I tolerate when Rushdie is giving deragatory statements.... It shows my affection and not the weakness

shame on you men? you have a wrong perception of Islam... What all the wrongly things happening in the world is not because of ISLAM teachings. This is only and only because of guys taking out a wrong meaning out of the phrases of Quran. In every religion there are good guys and bad guys. Every one will know the truth at the judgement day. I will be happy to die if some one kills me because I am a muslim.. This is what I learnt from ISLAM and known from Quran. I really feel very bad when some one writes wrong about Mohammed-the profet and quran. I feel like crying...
