I was watching news on BBC and CNN today, and to my SURPRISE they are highlighting the word INDIAN each time and the news is continuously telecasted.
VERY STRANGE the NATIONALITIES of other 7 convicts except one from Jordan is not TELECASTED and HIGHLIGHTED, WHY???????????????????
I dont know whether the Indian caught is a culprit or not as i read this on rediff right now BUT persons watching NEWS ALL OVER WORLD WILL ONLY REMEMBER THE WORD "INDIAN" even if the person charged is set free LIKE WHAT HAPPENED IN SPAIN BOMBING CASE WHERE THESE "WESTENERS" highlighted too much the word INDIAN and the persons were found INNOCENT, BUT NO APOLOGY WAS MADE.
I request all that lets ask WHY THEY WANT TO TARNISH IMAGE OF INDIA, and WE SHOULD CONDEMN this act of BBC and CNN.

Thats WHAT I couldn't understand either! The western media didn't want to braodcast the religious identities of the suspects, lest it 'hurt'the sentiments of the muslim community, yet they had no qualms about reiterating the INDIAN identity of the suspects, over and over again. Almost all European media, including the Dutch media, kept repeating that the suspect was an INDIAN doctor.
What hypocricy of the western media! According to them, its NOT OK to mention the nationality or religion of the non-Indian suspects, but it OK to mention the nationality of any criminal from India?

If you know how indian muslims feel comfort with other muslims when they are out of India this episode was just a matter of time. It was waiting to happen.
I guess in a couple of days we will know if there is any malicious intent. But judging by his one way ticket and lack of resigning his post it appears suspicious. Further more his relations are in Pakistan as well.

presumably two things 1) those convicts were arrested yesterday and the day before -> so old news 2) sensationalize the news that it is overseas in Australia along with the one way ticket w/o notifying the employer....

I completely agree. People across the world are only rememering one word and that is "INDIAN".
This is also diminishing the image of people like us who are indians and working abroad.
