And who decides what women are good at and what men are good at? you? ... If tommorow we tell you that men are only good for staying at home and cooking, will you do it? I bet you would not even if we gave you strong sceintific proof!
If you find a woman that is not good enuf at her job, then don't promote her. But dont tell me men are better at the job than women. For every woman who is bad at her job, I will show you 20 men that are bad at their job! Just look around you and tell me how many men are there who are not good at their job! What should we do with them then? Should we send all those men to their home and ask them to learn cooking and feeding their family?
This stupid argument is usually given by people who are insecure about their own capabilities. You are blabbering about one female army officer who suicided. What about the 100's of male army officers who are suiciding every year? So can we say that men are not good enough to be in the army?

Well said Ravi. You cant build a nation or society after breaking a home.
I am not aware of men giving birth or breast feeding. I have not heard in normal 'western justice system' the custody of an infant being given to the father. Why?
Gender equality is an abused term. Women and Men are born as equals. They have there rights and duties towards each other. Biological functions differ. Human kind cannot survive without each other.
The issue is not of gender equality but of abuses against women... in name of religion, jobs, advertisements, entertainment etc.

You are talking of 'western justice system', in west men also get paternity leave of 3 to 6 months, becuase in western societies fathers are equally responsible for bringing up of infants. A child needs care, love, touch an attention besides breast feeding. So men can do many things for the infants and they should feel responsible for their infants instead of puting all the onus on their wives.

Neither all men are equal in their capabilities nor all the women are equal. Don't brand anyone on basis of their sex.
Just because u are a men don't keep yrself on a higher pedestal because many men have illsutrious career. Just look at yr achievements and the sick menatality that you have.
Who says that only women are good air-hostesses. If you gly internationally you will see that many men are doing the same job.
Men love to do anything that can get them money ...

Dear friens easy to talk then put in practice the practical problem is all in armed forces you are an officer no women please.Till you are bachelor you can do any thing go for sailing be at border, fly aircrafts but afyter marriage when you are in family way then problem comes, it is service before self rathere then self before service.once kid is born then you have to look after you can not be at peace station for another five years where as your counterparts are foregoing family life at borders onboard submarines etc.Further when you are captured by an enemy a women can be subjected to worst type of humiliation sexual abuse unlike men which can create deep marks mentally. How US is treating prisoners in Iraq. Always feminist view point can not support.Will you all like this happening to your officers, nobody want this.Further women are given same portfolios as male officers. yes hardships are there it is your mental strength and character, mettle which will help you, suicide is not a solution.Further every system has good and bad people.It is human nature we can be wicked, cruel or good under the sattva tamas and rajas gunas of nature.Every system is for good we with our ethics, thoughtfulness and good human and ethical values should make it better which we dont do often

I do accept you points Mr. Ravi, I don't underestimate women, but as you said they have their own strong points, but due to over confidence some women thing that they are as good as any men. we have to think as person of individual characters and do the job accordingly, this will lead to success.

Well a case can be registered against you in these times for not being politically correct. Recently NDTV went to town when the army chief said that women are not yet ready for fighter pilot jobs.
