Are women allowed to take a job in Army??

Just curious to know if a woman can take up a job other than clerical in Indian Army.

Yes...women can take up roles including certain combat roles (like mechanised infantry). Further women officers are attached with infantry units in certain non combat roles like signals, doctors but spend time with the whole unit when in remote conditions of J&K or north east.

Other wings where women officers are present are supply (ASC), doctors (AMC) and pilots

combat a strict no..no ..no

pilot ....only helicopters and lately cargos...

fighte is still a dream..why why why???

Yes, they can get into any stream now a days.

Don't spread wrong info ... shut up if you don't know.

Women in the Army still donot fight wars which technically means Women are admissible only for Administrative and medical jobs in the Army and not in the fighting battalions.

On the other hand in the Indian Air Force, Women can join as fighter / Helicopter pilots and also have the power equivalent to male pilots.
