Politicians need to change attitude
by Rajeev Anand on Jan 26, 2007 02:46 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Dear Mr.President

My sincere and heart felt wishes to you on thsi republic day. We are really proud to have you as our president.

If only 50% of the MPs and MLAs incorporate your vision and attitude, our country will grow leaps and bounds. Unfortunately, Indian politicians and government office bearers barring a few at the top, are still in the old mindset and take the people for granted. Corruption is still rampant. Leaders still mislead gullible people for gaining political mileage. Example: Recent riots in Bangalore - for no good reason and a 14yr old boy lost his life. Whoever did it, why did they do it?

As the saying goes, you cant keep fooling all the people all the time. There might come a day, and if frustrated youth rise against the politicians, god save them.

I would truly appreciate, if you can educate the political class that they are hear to serve the people and not themselves.

In the prevailing situation, no matter how much foreign reserves you have, doesn't matter, if politicians are inciting people to fight against each other for religion, for reservations, have to pay bribes to register lands, etc, your vision is never going to materialise.

A responsible attitude by the politicians is a must if our country's growth should sustain.

Raj
