surya namaskar is a very good exercise to keep childern fit, i suggest to educational bodies just change the name "SURYA NAMASKAR", we can call it by other name so the rest of the controvcy will be no longer.

There are millions of exercise to keep us fit.The NAMAAZ is a complete exercise of the body as well!There are many medical benefits of Abulation and Namaaz besides Spiritual.Lets all start offering Namaaz but we can also change its name so that it is no longer controversial!
Moreover people of western countries donot practise surya namaskar nor do the Arabs, Chinese, Malays and the Koreans.However they are no less fit than our Indian brothers who practise surya namaskar!!!
Instead of offering Namaskar to sun god lets offer our gratitude to the ''One God'' who created the ''Sun God''

hey Imaan, just answer this question (on behalf of all muslims) and your maturity of thought can be assesed. Is the Sun GOD or RAM, Krishna or Jesus any different from Allah ? just an YES or NO. do reply, dont be scared and shy away. else ppl will call you a looser.

And by the way, the Chinese, koreans, europeans, americans, latins, etc, do not do namaaz. Yet, they are very fit - and they use their energy to make better systems that work. They don't use their energies to blow up aircraft and buildings and people.

Do/don't do Namaskarams , its upto you , but we can't always do what others are doing..sometimes we need out own ways of doing...if so we need to give up democracy (like china and Arabs_)..start funding AlQuidaa's...etc etc...have own brain ..
