I having been born in Delhi have seen the city deteriorate day by day since 1990's. It was mainly due to migration and commercialization of the city. You saw shops popping up everywhere, the goverment agencies like MCD, the DDA, the Delhi Police, the local MLA everyone was involved since it had big money. Now people whose shops have been sealed are crying hoarse that they will loose there livelihood, let me ask them were they not aware that what they were or are doing is illegal. If they did (since most of these structures came up after paying bribes) and still went ahead, there is no need to play innocent. Whatever relief the goverment has provided is against the law, it will set a precedent that "those who break the law, shout a lot and resort to violence can get away with it, it is the law abiding cititzen who has to pay the penalty".My family had to leave our ancestral home in Old Delhi because the numerous factories that sprang up in the vicinity. The Supreme Court is our last resort, if it also buckles then Delhi is as good as dead. This city would not be resettled for the 10th time...
