Spreading democracy for a better world is of course a good idea. But that is not the best option. According to me, the best idea is to teach the people all over the world to think beyond their man-made, literally %u201Cman%u201D-made, religious believes and to integrate. Religions and the fear that generated by these religions were a must in the Stone Age. But in the present world, when we blindly believe and follow such religions, unfortunately only the negative aspects and rituals, that shows we are not better than the Stone Age civilization.
The regime change in Iraq will not change the root Islam based mindset of the Iraqis and therefore, the people will not enjoy the so-called, I say great, democratic values. The execution of Saddam aides recently is a classic example of the inhuman mindset of them. Saddam did all the atrocities because he was in power. If any other Iraqi was in power, he would have somewhat practiced the same way.
Yes, a revolution is a must, a revolution in the minds of each and every inhabitant on earth and that should help the people to come out of their religious cocoons.
I like Bush%u201Ds idea of spreading democracy in the world. But I am completely against the path he chose to do that. If Bush has any concern towards the people of Iraq, he should admit his mistake of invading Iraq completely against the UN and International opinions. It will pave the way for the International force under the UN to take over the control from the US force currently in Iraq. An International force will be more acceptable to the Iraqi people and it will also help them to understand the concern of the International community towards them.
In the end, when the Iraqis take over the control from the International force, there must have a strong democratic-based-constitution and there must not have any religious, say Islam laws, involvement or influence in that constitution.
