Saddam Hussein murdered many of his Muslim brethren in cold blood. Only a secular bigot would bemoan his hanging.
I am not defending the Americans here. The basis of the Iraq war itself is fallacious. Many an American president should suffer the same fate as Saddam. Their acts are equally criminal.
The government of Iraq must ensure equitable treatment of the Shias and the Sunnis so that hatred gives way to peace and prosperity.
