I am sorry for you as you have never learnt to respect anyone be it you elders, peers or ones younger than you. No culture, be it Western or Eastern disrespects their father/mother of the nation. I have not in all my years seen any disrespect for George Washington(USA), Nelson Mandela(South Africa),Lennin(USSR), Sir John A. Macdonald(Canada). Charles de Gaulle, although not the Father of the nation but was responsible for the freedom of France from Hitler in the 2nd World War. There are many others. Look up your History Books.

Well. Any person, belief, or philosophy if it is truly exalted it would have an inbuilt strength to withstand parody, sattire, and criticism. If it cowers in fright at these then it does not deserve the "high" that it was accorded. For example, I invite you to remember MF Hussain drawing nude sketches of Saraswati, Bharat Mata, Durga, Sita etc. Has the respect for these by people at large in any way waned? After all who is MF Hussain? How many revere him? Compare this with that of Bharat Mata, or Goddess of learning Saraswati etc. Similarly Daddy of the Nation (if a nation can be fathered or if it can be mothered and delivered) if all that he stood for is something very respectful then who is Gautam Prasad? Do you think it would be possible for a hundred Gautam Prasads to make people come out of the Voodoo spell G has on Indian politicians? I think not. Indian politicians would swear and die by G than GP. Rest assured. G is in safe, very safe hands and minds!
