Pratap Bhanu Mehta, noted philosopher of our time recently wrote in the Indian Express (on Pakistan, Indo-Pak talk on kashmir etc) which essentially meant:
When Pakistan is not able to do trade with India through areas where there are no disputes (i.e., except Kashmir), its difficult to understand how Pakistan will do trade with India thro' Kashmir/
If anything is needed today is abrogation of special rights of J&K, let private investment flow and develop the state. By the way, thanks to Govt of India's pampering, Kashmir has less than 5% poverty at the cost of poor from Bihar, West Bengal, UP and rest of India.
