Shame to the CM for promising to give jobs to the unemployed ... shame to him for bringing industries to the state ... Bengal should remain with agriculture and only agriculture ... nothing else ... Nandigram, Singur, all the projects should be scraped and agriculture to these lands should be restored ! Shame to the Tata s and Salim s .... Thank you Trinamool to have turned West Bengal to an anti industry state ... however , if you kindly look around you only as far as Orissa, Maharastra, Gujarat etc you will perhaps find something else ... I am now in a different part of the world ... hoping to return to Kolkata after a spurt of industrialisation in and around Kolkata ... thank you for spoiling my hopes to return to my homeland and to my parents .... But I read in the laws it is written that Govt can acquire land for development purposes without giving any intimation ? May be I am wrong , I am ill-informed ... but all over the world I have heard that if agriculture makes way to industry even to a small extent , it is helpful to the society ? May be I am wrong ... but are Mr Amarta Sen and Mr Younnis also wrong in their assessments ?

Dont be an idiot.....Prime agricultural land being used for industrial purposes is rendering Bengal as the begging bowl of the nation.
Moreover, unskilled farmers will find no jobs in the industries.....Devoid of land, and devoid of livelihood, they have started committing suicides....If they were given fair remuneration [like in Rajasthan, Delhi, Western UP (Noida) and Gujarat .. running into crores why should they have complained]

i agree that industrialisation is a necessity,but at the same time one must also understand that land is the only fixed asset of these people which over the yrs will appreciate,fixing prices at todays price and aquiring it forcibly for development appears to be unjust.i am not any party member,but probably will react in the same manner like people of singur.SEZs i feel are a sophisticated form of landgrab.
