What Next??
by Amit Ananad on Feb 23, 2007 09:39 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

Our politicians condemn the incident. Our PM issues his usual statement saying that terrorism will be dealt firmly. Nobody will take him seriously. And he knows this. But he has to issue that statement. As usual Left & Laloo will blame Hindutava forces. BJP hold central govt responsible for being too soft on terrorists.Police as usual will be clueless. Police will blame terrorists from across the border. They make some arrests based on suspicion. Media will get a lot of fodder to talk about this for next few days.
NDTV & IBN live will conduct chat programmes where the so called intellectuals & pseudo secualrists will join together & express their opinion that Pakistan cannot be involved in this & hint that it is a handiwork of Hindutva forces.
For a Common man like you & me, it's one more tragedy. We thank ourselves for being lucky one more time. And we get busy with our work. Life goes on.
After some days of lull one more incident will happen & the same sequence of events are repeated.
But still the life goes on.

This is how we lead our life in India. Human life does not have any value here. Nobody cares for others. Indian Middle Class & educated people, even though they are alive, they are as good as dead & buried.

And lastly most of the people who call themseleves as educated, "Do Not Even Vote" in the general elections.

Until & unless everybody concerned decides to clean the system, this will continue. Most of us are waiting for the whole system to change on it's own which is not possible.

In this country everything is on sale including morality & ethics. Just for few ruppees evrybody is ready to anything.

Act now Or else wait & watch the politicians ruin this country???

Dear Parthasarathy,
I don't agree with you. If you cast ur vote for some independent (even though he loses)it will increase the polling percentage. When this percentage becomes more than 90% then only our politicians will think (fear) abt the middle class educated. The reason for creation of pseudo-secularists is the vote bank only. Muslims and Christians are casting their franchise more than 90% so automaticaaly these politicians are rushing towards them. So please vote.

Dear Partha,
Pls vote for teh person who you feel is the best among them.U can not find 100 % righet person in Indian politics, but atleast if u find a person who is better in it go for him..rather than not puting ur vote -
Muslims and christians does vote to teh candidate who is from their community, but we hindus always stay divided ourselves and the educated chaps like u and others who thinks intelligently and stay away from it so that proudly can say , am not a part of the corrupted system- I can understand ur sitaution, pwe all are frustarted by seeing the corruption and highly biased policies of govt.
Instead of keeping mum against it and running away by not casting votes, come together talk and do whatever possible to change the viewing angle of politicians or govt.

Amit, i was both happy and sad to read what you wrote. happy that there is somebody who has seen through it all and seen very clearly. sad that what you said is the bitter truth. we have failed in building a true nation, an honest government and a caring society. there doesnt seem to be any hope of improvement. the new economy will benefit a few million, but we are more than a billion.
