SP Withdraws Support to UPA Government
by Anupam Khanna on Feb 21, 2007 06:04 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

I beleive, UPA constituents have been opportunistic to remain in the Centre. In principle, one has to go into details, of, as to what was Congress's compulsion to support the Mulayam Govt. in UP, four years back. And, in the past so many years, the situation of UP has deteriorated, and all of a sudden, Congress is withdrawing the Support.

Will they ever come up with straight logical reasons for supporting a particular group, and similarly, while withdrawing. All parties, just dont have anything other than opportunistic approach to keep the bigger threat at bay, without giving due consideration to the ethos of various political parties.

It would have been more appropriate and gentle of Congress to immediately withdraw the support while the Nithari & the Professor cases came to the limelight, rather than letting more than 3 months pass by and reacting on just illegality of BSP split case.

The politics is about opportunity and more correctly selfish nature of the person who is in power. It is true that certain Central Govts during certain period are impossing or try to impose Presidential Rule over the state government if and when it suits them; when the same party is in opposition they will shun it again in the selfish interests. Nobody has shown - without fail - the cause for the comman person. They will take a decision which suits hem the best and than provide a logic for the same and at other time in different situation the same logic is reversed. The failure of law and order is seen in a diferent perspective in UP and Bihar at two different times by the same party. What do we say about the failure to check inflation by the Central Govt. Can it be a reason to call for Presidential Rule there or will it help at all.
