Pain, Religion and Pakistan.....
by lokesh mehta on Feb 19, 2007 01:20 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

I am in real pain knowing 64 people got killed in such a ghastly act. Some cowardly ba***ds have again reminded us, through such a painful inhuman statement, that they still exist, despite billions being spent to make them extinct. My heart felt condolences to the aggrieved families. I am feeling ashamed that we could not provide safety to our guests.

I also went through the comments posted by the readers here, which were further, a revelation for me. Are we so divided as 'country men'? And when shall we stop using religion as a veil to forward our arguments of half baked truths? No religion advocates killing of innocents, to propagate personal agenda. Every time such terrorist killings take place I see we all are jumping to conclusions blaming each other. Are we not playing into the hands of those who want us to remain divided? Also to our learned friends, who keep on pointing fingers at the Gujrat establishment, no doubt there were slippages in now infamous 'Godhra incident' yet the real-initiators of the incident are never talked about (unfortunately that was also a Burning Train incident). So, for every episode there has been a Religion based justification, how so ever wrong & unfortunate it may be. Please leave the religion alone and let it remain what it was & is meant to be a guiding, healing loving and a spiritual force.

As for Pakistan is concerned, we can not do away with geography, so it is in our own interest to stop extreme radicalization of our neighborhood. I think the initiatives like Samjhuta Express are good mechanisms to propagate friendly neighborhood ties. When people will interact at grass root level than only the fear of each other will mitigate, understanding would increase and long lasting peace will dawn on this sub-continent.

In 99% of the terrorist attacks it's only the aam admi.i.e. common man who will be killed. Terrorists are cleaver enough not to kill any plitician, b'coz the politicians are doing the same job of terrorists in a better way. I think in India people have to fear politicians more than terrorists, b'coz a terrorists most of the times does not know what they are doing & these people are being misutilised by politicians for their personal gains.
No politician & political party has shown or will show any willingness to root out terrorism & terrorists.
Now after this incident, we will hear the same familiar noise. Our puppet PM who has been recently received a award "Indian of the year" from a well known but biased TV channel will give familiar statement condemning the incident. BJP will blame center.Left will blame Hindutva. Laloo will also blame BJP. People & media will talk about this for next few days. Life goes now. There will be another terrorist incident & the sequence will be repeated again.People are used to these incident now. I mean it's part of our daily life. We people of India who are always fighting amongst ourselves b'coz of caste, creed and on communal lines , never realise that it's the politicians who have to punished first. We need to get rid of all the politicians in this country. Any person who calls himself politicians have to be booted out. Inshort, we need a revolution.
