DO READ THIS FOR SURE

Hi Every one, I think Mr. Franco Gautier got what he wanted because, thats what these guys always wanted "Let the blood run between hindus and muslims" specially post independence. Any ways thanks for raking up the issue. I have a case in point here, Aurangzep is whatever he is but that does not mean he is a profit, because he is not, the way he interprated Islam by destroying temple, holding people to swords while converting them is DEFINITELY NOT ISLAM.Hence what he did was definitely shameful, the problem in the world, or for that matter in our country is Aurangzeb and his misinterpretation of faith. It exists not peacefully but violantly amongst hindus and muslims, sikhs and christians. Islam is a religion like any other religion, muslims respect is like followers of any other religion. If someone follows hinduism, or any other religion, we respect the person's faith and point of view, however the crater erupts when people want followers of a different faith to not only respect their religion, but make in sensitive remarks about his own. I think the the that way the philosophy of Aurangzeb and his genre of Islam (Which is the incorrect one)gains ascendancy, like evry religion Islam also teaches to live in a civilized manner, but we should understand and acknowledge the fact that our prophet is Mohammad (PBUH) and not Aurangzeb, Osama Bin Laden, or for that matter even Saddam. Muslims who consider them that should know, they are not correct at all. The fact is in todays world muslims are seriously lacking direction in understanding who should be their heroes the likes of Aurangzeb, Osama Bin Laden, or Saddam - or the prophet himself, because he never taught this genre of Islam. However I donot blame any one neither hindus or christians for their interpretation of Islam, because it is the followers of Islam who misinterprated it and maligned it, what an irony. However Mr. Franco Gautier, I will not allow you to burn the bridges between hindus and muslims, christians and sikhs as this world (and specially our country) has invested a lot of blood while building this bridgeyou have no business to burn it, we are not here to pass on the legacy of Aurangzeb, Osama, Saddam, Bush or Franco to our children - we will give them a more secure world even if that means we have to water it with our own blood regards Ahmad Mehdi

Hi Ahmed, Ur points are true to some extent.but, as per the history and recent incidents we can conclude that ISLAM is
not peace loving and they always try to kill persons of other religion. I will give 1 simple Example . where there is majority of hindus live with minority muslims there is no problem at all and all were leaving in peace (until and unless muslims will intiate the problem, eg: Godhra). But, where there is majority of muslims and hindus are minority, there is a problem exist always.
(J&K, kerala, mangalore etc ). In these places there is planned attacks were happening to eliminate hindus.

Overall where there is majority of Muslim population exist, problem is exist always..

Islam has spread right from the start, through this tactic of exerting pressure on minorities. Islam unlike democracy cannot accomodate minorities. Islam cannot 'TOLERATE' anybody against it. Thats why mostly predorminant muslim countries are renamed 'ISLAMIC REPUBLIC' of whatever. Our neighbour Pakistan is a good example. This is done to convey that the majority are everybody.

You are not right my friend. I am proud to say that many Hindus still live in Kashmir. And we still live and interact with each other as we used to do before many hindus left kashmir. So please dont post something that is not accurate.
Thanks

Hi Ahmed,
I really liked your point and to a great extend share your views. There have been srious attempts of distorting religious sayings which are due to political, economic and other intentions of some followers. This is not only in India but is seen across the seven continents. There is one Aurangazeb was recorded in history and probably it is right. But what about many others who might have done even worse on Hindus or Muslims. But I would urge our fellow countrymen to understand history in the right sprit, taking into account what kind of future we need to give our next generation. I want my kids to peacefully study with kids from other religion, I want them to live peacefully in a socially harmonious society and for the sake of it we all need to understand that we must work together for a better tomorrow. Lets intepret good things from religion, lets intepret it for the betterment of human kind, lets intepret for a better tomorrow. At the same time I do not blame Mr. Franco. I accept his views as his views and I believe the people of India today are much different from that of British India. We are much more selective today in taking views and openions which have political and religious sensitivity. I wish all the best for a better and healty discussion on this topic.

CountryMen,
Aurangazeb ruled our Beloved Country. And she has suffered in his hands. The article describes the facts. Just comment and approve whether Aurangazeb was right in his acts, even if was the Emperor. Thats all. Don't divert the discussions if you are not able to approve him.

noone will burn the bridges after reading his column except some angry violant mulims. Franco is not in the same category as Osam, saddam, etc. He is one of few true hinstorians we have. All of our marxist historians belong in the same list as saddam, osama, etc.

Nehru was surely an evil. His great deeds include capturing money from the coffer of Azad Hind Fouz, Extra-marital affair with Lady Mounbatten, Distortion of history, manipulating a guy MK Gandhi, a great deal of contribution in Partition of India, stupid adminsitrative policy et al - where does the list come to an end? Marxists are a joke anyway - they all tend to commit 'historic blunders', they are kind of substandard people anyway... - Please refer the book - "The Last Days of the British Raj" - quite interesting!!!
